My Very Own Falkor

Mieszky is like the magical wise guardian who is always there for you .  

When he is resting his face on me all is calm.

I wish he was a Kilometer long too.

Apparently , Falkor from the Neverending Story , original name "Fuchur" is derived from Japanese "Fukuryuu" (福竜 or 福龍, "lucky dragon").

Good Thing About Getting Older

Is that it makes even Skachan nicer. In Japan, we say, "maruku-natta".

 

Skachan used to growl if you touched her most of the time. The attitude was not from upbringing!
I can say this because I raised 5 cats from kittens. Treated all of them the same , with love and some firmness.
I had Skachan from when she was a month old and I picked her up all the time, and she always hated it!!!
She is a cat that made you work for her affection, and when you got a glimpse of affection from her it was like the biggest praise that you ever  got in your life.
She is now 16 years old.
Skachan is now bit slower in movement because of her age but she has always been a clever cat. Now her cleverness seemed to matured to wisdom.

Cookie Dough is from the old house, our exHousemate Danny became friends with her.

She lived outside and she so wanted to be a housecat. The people in the neighborhood seemed to feed her but she would be crying in the pouring rain, which really concerned us.

So she is here with us!
We put flea treatment on her, and took her to the vets. We also got some posh biscuits because her body was covered in scabs from fleas and allergic reaction.

Now she had beautiful sleek soft hair, and all her scabs are gone.
Such a sweet girl that answers "Errrrrghhhh!" whenever you talk to her or stroke her.
