This is one of my favourite pic of Hime. I think she was about 4 years old? 

When we just moved into our house. 

Life is unfair. 

Some people (cats) are just born with that Star Factor. 

And Black cats rule!

I had a special date with Walter , he came to sit with me ... mainly to knead on my cardigan and I took it off him so now the blanket...

He looked a bit bugged when I stroked his head. So I scratched his chin and he moved his head away ! “You’re killing my Kneading Buzz, Mom!!!" 

But isn’t he just so cuuute! 

Zum in Tummy and Her Sisters

I wonder, did Zum know she was surrounded by her sisters when she was in my tummy??

I was always falling sleep after work during my pregnancy.


I got a moon pillow to support my big tummy, and of course,
PRINCESS OF MISCHIEF, as known as HIME,  took kindly to it!

Cookie was always cuddly, she'd come and sit on me (or my lap), she's warm and not heavy!

Zum, can you hear the "Errrghhhh!!!" from in there??  

Hime is My Best Friend, too!

Hime was the first of our cats to really take interest in Zum as a baby.



Funnily, Zum's first real word was PA-ZZY, and Ha-Mi, which was her interpretation of HIME, was last. Probably harder to pronounce as a 1 year old.

Zum would say her favorite was everyone, it would change day to day.

We went to Japan in September 2016. My hubby went back first, and we were FTing, and he was showing us the house , the guys, and Hime.
Zum saw them and started getting sad.
She said in her newly acquired Japanese sentences, 「おうちに帰りたいよー」(I wanna go home)

She saw Hime giving buggies to Shane, and said she wanted to see Hime.

She missed home, the guys, especially Hime. Obachan's house was fun, but I think that was the first time she got the concept of missing home, and someone other than her parents.

Now when we are away, she says she wants to see Hime, and she says Hime is her favorite. She only wants Hime when she's sad.

Cat Flap Conundrum 2

Im not just looks, man!

So ... the cat flap.

Walter Dudey, with all his greediness to get to the wet food, got him to push the cat flap through, and get to the food. So he was No.1 to get it.

Now, I think Paz is the strongest, and Mieszk, perhaps the smartest, Hime was close second , when it comes to being clever.

But who was No2 to get the cat flap??


Late at night, I heard the cat flap open and close. I went downstairs expecting to the see the only cat who knows how to use it (Walter) , and...

Hime came running up to me , she looked very excited, her round nosey eyes were round as ever.
I picked her up and her fur was cold!
She had been outside and back! She seemed very pleased with herself.
Her nosey mind had helped her get out and back in!

People, I am an inspiration!

so it was :
1.THE GREEDIEST
2.THE NOSIEST
who got the cat flap.

Then Mieszk (smartest) got it, then eventually Paz,
then, poor stubborn Cookie, she was refusing to use the cat flap for the longest time. I had to open and close the French door for her as she would sit in front of the glass for me to see her.
I didn't mind doing that, as long it was just the one cat!




I thought this was a very good representation of life, I think motivation is the biggest key to succeeding at something.

Then being nosey and creative gets you through.
And lastly, if you are so damn cute and stubborn, someone will open the doors for you all the time.
(Eventually Cookie got it! lol)
