Cat Flap Conundrum 1

This is a story about when we finally got a cat fence and a new cat flap.

hey, open up !! I'm not putting my head through that thing!

So EVERYONE can go outside into our back garden... in theory.

Paz, Cookie, and Walter were going outside in the front, but I was worried because of all the cars speeding by.
Then one day , this man who was walking the dog told me that he had seen Walter get hit by a car.
He seemed fine, but I took him to the vets, and she said there were marks on his claws that suggests he was clawing hard , perhaps from collision.

I know you can see me! OPENNNNNN!!!!

So we got a cat fence , now everyone can go out in the back without worrying about cars, other cats, dogs, etc.

We had to get the special big size (for fatties... guess who that is?) , and installed it.

Surprisingly, the Cat Flap was a bit of a conundrum for the guys.
I put the guys outside, and pushed them through the flap couple of times. No one wanted to come in through the flap, and they were scratching the French doors to.. "OPEN UP!!!!"

Shane said, "oh great, I got the special fat size cat flap and no one wants to use it!"

But someone got it!!

Shane put the wet food in front of the cat flap and said, "GOHAN!!!!" (food time!)

and sure behold.....
WALTER pushed his snout though and got in!!!!
HEYYYYY !!!!! Who'd guessed!?

You don't have to be the smartest or the strongest, JUST THE GREEDIEST. 
It is all about motivation in life, people!

Zum put her Mrs Owl next to Cookie to keep her company.




From January 2016. I miss my Cookie.

Vets

Mieszky was throwing up and I had to take him to our vet.

He is so calm at the vets , he listens to me, and when I tell him "it's ok " he puts his head on my hand and purrs. 

If this was Hime or Walter , they would be mewing .

Thor, he'd probably be wining and trying to shake the cage open with his huge paws.

Paz, he'd growl and try to bite during the examination....

Mieszk, he is just so intelligent. I get comments from the other people in the waiting room about how calm and sweet he is, he sticks his paws out on my lap from his cage and purring.

He had to get a nasty injection and he had to be separated from everyone. He wasn't allowed to eat for a day and only teaspoonful every two hours after. 

He slept with us even though he was weak. 

I was very worried but he stopped throwing up and I put him back with everyone.
He wolfed his food down , he was hungry!

Of course Thor was so happy to see him and nap with him!

Zumzum's Possé

Even when it's a tantrum over "I don't want to put on that cardigan",

It still worries (some) of the gang.

There is a THUD from the cat tree, and Walter wakes up from his snooze spot and comes to console Zum.
"Prrrrhhh, prrrhhh, are you ok, Zumzum?"

New addition...Thor.
He doesn't do much but he comes to sit near Zum when she is crying.

Of course there is a "Rrrraughhh! " and Hime is very concerned. 

I tell Hime, "it's ok, Zum just doesn't want to put on the cardigan, she's not hurt." 

But Hime gives Zum huggies on Zum's tear streaked cheeks.
 Hime's cheeks are wet from that but she wants to make Zum feel better.

My ways are quiet but I DO care too!

The other day, Zum was crying in the other room.  

Thor came to where I was sitting, and stretched his paw onto my lap to tap me, and get my attention. I've never seen him do that. He wanted to tell me that she is crying.

"Now I can enjoy my plantpot dish in peace."

He is quiet and subtle, but he cares too.  

It's good when everyone is happy... if someone is sad we all try to make them better....
Even if you are a cat.

Cats aren't (always) selfish!!

Miss Tiny VS Mighty Thor

"Didn't I tell you to stay out of my way??? "

"Hey!!! Get out of my way, I'm telling you! Rahhhh!"

"Please don't hit me!"

This was taken right after Hime's 10th birthday.

Thor is minding his own business, walking on the lawn.
Then Hime goes and lounges at Thor, 

Saying "Hey! I'm still on to you!!"

Look at Thor's ears!!! That guy's scared!!!

It doesn't matter if Hime is half the size of him , or that he's youngest and she's the oldest! 

It's about who has the GUTS!

Hime Wins!
She truly is the Alpha (fe)male  in this house.

The Decade of Hime!

Hime and Zum are best friends too!

Today was Hime's 10th birthday!

"I have the cute podgy tummy with the POWER SPOT!"

She is just as curious , nosey, and creative.... and cute as the day I met her when she was just 3 months old.

She sniffed Thor on his nose , then whacked him on the head 5 minutes later!

"I thougt Hime was going to be nice to me for once!"

I took the pictures using a remote control and she tried to catch it!
