I could hear his snuffling and Thud! to jump to come sit next to me.

I can almost hear him saying "Rrrewww" ,
when he hears me calling "Mieszkins!", or "Gohan!",
or "Okiyoka??"
and he'd look intently with understanding and always, with love and care.

Pazzy Would Know

I wish Pazzy was here.
he's so confident and bold, there's no indecisiveness with him!

He and Mieszky were like opposites , except for being greedy about food bit .... but he loved and looked after Miesky. I wish you were here with Mieszky and me.

When I am away from home I call him and it feels like he's getting my messages.
Just like when he got lost. He knew I wouldn't give up on looking for him and he was able to come home.

Hime Must’ve Sent You

Hime Onechan must've sent you, Indie!


Indie is so sweet and loves us, Very different from Hime of course, but Hime would have loved this little girl.

Indie spent the August hiding away in the closet,
but about an hour after we got home from the airport,
she popped out. I called her and she came over, and said, "Rrrrhh!"
like the pigeon call that she does when she answers.

She missed us!!
And she sat between Zum and me, putting her paws on sleeping jetlagged Zum's lap and purred at me.
She looked very like Hime as we put on the pink collar with a bell for when we are away.

The pink is a very Classic Hime color.

Heaven Hime

it is 27 degrees but theres light breeze and the temperature is perfect for napping.

There's hammocks , nice lounge chair, and dragonflies flying.

Realizing Mieszky Is a Saint

"How long did it take for Pazzy
to realize that

Mieszky is the sweetest out of all the cats
and became his best
(and only ) friend?"

Says Zum.

"I think it took about 2 years
for Paz to stop hating Mieszk
for no reason at all and hitting him,

and all of the sudden Paz would sit with Mieszky and lick him."

I said.

Yes, sometimes we can change our minds about things,
especially when it comes to people, or cats
who are genuninely kind.
We realize they are very very rare!



"Um, how long has Frankie been with us?"
Zum says.

"Uh , over 2 years."
I tell her.

"uh, Frankie still hates Mieszky for no reason at all."
Zum says.

Ummmmm.....

the only explanation that I can think of is ....

FRANKIE JUST HAS BAD TASTE!!!

"Cats are not real cats if they aren't Fluffy, Brown, and pretty like US!"
Frankie thinks.

She seems to forgive T for being mean to her, but Mieszky has NEVER EVER been mean to her, yet she growls and hits him sometimes.

It does help that Frankie can bully T out of the food when it's FOODTIME even though T normally bullies her the rest of the time.

It's sometimes a blessing if Mieszky can't hear her mean hissing and growling!!
But hitting!???

NO Frankie!!! YOU DO NOT HIT A SAINT!!!

Black Lightning Vs Brown Tornado

Brown Tornado .... she comes in a flash when I'm feeding T

and just because she is big and stealing food from others, it is still done with Class, because Frankie is Miss Classy.

Frankie slowly inches in , she gobbles up T's food.
Normally she's Miss Drama , Hissing, Growling, making a racket, but she is the quietest when she is stealing food.

Black Lightining Walter!

He'd camp out upstairs most of the day, and when there's Rustling of the Packets, there is a "THUD" , and he comes running down the stairs.

He's the champion.

No one has much Passion and Speed in snatching other cats' food, Not even Paz, Mieszky, or Frankie.
The Champion! Period!

Gives Me Strength

When I feel troubled, I use my Hime mug or Hime earrings.
I say "Hime , Help me."
and she's there looking at me with her inquisitive eyes, inquisitive because she would care if I was sad, if there was something interesting. She would notice right away.
I remember giving me huggies on my face, either perched on my shoulder or tapping me with her tiny paw.
and she seems to help me get through.
She's my best friend, my sister, my guardian angel.
Not many people get to live with a special friend like that, and I realize how lucky I am.

Happy 17th Birthday Mieszky!

Mieszky starts his birthday by lying on my chest in the morning.
He licks my face and hand, he looks after me.

He puts his head in my hand.


You have been my Best Friend for 15 years since you came in to our family!
